The Traffic Survival School Program is designed for drivers who have convictions for serious driving violations, have an accumulation of points on their driving record, have been found guilty of a red light violation, have been found guilty of violation and have a graduated drivers license or are at risk for having their driving privilege suspended. The program goal is to change or modify risky or unsafe driving behavior. Traffic survival schools are licensed by the Arizona Chapter of the National Safety Council (NSC). NSC qualifies instructors to teach the MVD approved curriculum.
The computer system that we use is linked to the motor vehicle department computer system. We checked you in this morning at registration. The system has timer that we have to run for eight hours. At the end of eight hours we will complete you and your driving record will be automatically updated. You have 120 days from the date on your first letter to complete your traffic school class before your driving privileges get suspended. If you did not complete your traffic survival school in the allotted time you will need to reinstate your drivers license on the motor vehicle department website. If you made it to class in time you will not need to do anything further.
You were found guilty of a red light violation.
You have received between 8 and 12 points on your drivers license with in a year.
You carry a Graduated Drivers License you are under 18 years old and were found guilty of a violation.
You were found guilty of going the wrong way on a on way street.
A court has or ADOT order you to attend.
